THINGS TO DO - A few of our favorite Spring/Summer events, things to do and see - for you and your out-of-town guests.

Hike the Long Trail.

Visit any one of our many local breweries - Magic Hat, Long Trail and Otter Creek, to name but a few.

Enjoy the 59th Annual Warren 4th of July Parade. Cheeky and often political, the parade features live music, a street dance and fabulous food.

Likewise, check out the town of Bristol's Annual 4th of July Parade - the longest running parade in the state of Vermont, and featuring the ever-popular Outhouse Race.

Hike to Sunset Rock in Warren - a fairly gentle hike that affords glorious views of the Adirondacks.

Explore Festivals galore, including, but in no way limited to The Chew Chew Festival, The Balloon Fest, the Brewer's Fest, the Antique and Classic Car Meet and the Lilac Festival.

Treat yourself to fabulous music at The Mozart, Bluegrass or Discover Jazz Festivals, or with the Craftsbury Chamber Players.

Don't miss the Tunbridge World's Fair - still going strong in its 135th year, the country fair is the perfect celebration of everything agricultural and more!

Boasting more shoreline than anywhere else in the state, The Lake Champlain Islands are a world unto themselves.

Visit Ass-Pirin Acres in Addison County and admire the state's most wonderful assortment of registered Miniature Donkeys. We guarantee you'll fall in love!

Check out some of the state's historical gems, including Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms in Shelburne; Hildene, the Historic Home of Robert Todd Lincoln in Manchester; The Calvin Coolidge Homestead in Plymouth;  the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park in Woodstock; and the Park-McCullough House in N. Bennington.

Walk the Robert Frost Memorial Trail near Middlebury College where poems are randomly placed throughout the woods for your reading pleasure.

Have a picnic, fly a kite, grab an inner tube and float lazily down any stream or river, marvel at the Northern Lights, eat homemade strawberry short cake, go fishing - not Phishing! Sorry, that was last year! Eat ice cream - preferably locally made, cross a covered bridge, treasure your time here - whether it's for a weekend or a lifetime!
